At a young age, Jennifer Houghton began to pursue drawing, watercolor painting and oil painting.  Jennifer was born and raised in Salina, Kansas. Receiving a traditional art background from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in .Commercial Art.

Jennifer has been painting for 20 years.  Residing in Broken Arrow, Ok with her husband Erik, she paints full time from her backyard studio.  This year, 2010 has already been a very full year.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer at 24 weeks pregnant.  In April, Jennifer started her first round of chemo and will be celebrating the birth of her first child in June.  With much prayer and support from friends and family, she realizes that each day is a gift and a blessing that should not be taken for granted.

Previously, Jennifer worked for Jostens Yearbook Company as a Creative Resource Artist in Topeka, Kansas, and as an Artist for Carpentree, a Christian art company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She has provided artwork for Avon and Hobby Lobby, and designed products for Mel Gibson's "The Passion of The Christ."

Jennifer is a member of the Oil Painters of America, and has
been juried into the Salon International 2004 in San Antonio. She
has been a part of many art shows and one-woman art shows.
Also, Jennifer has been a part of the Richard Schmid Fine Art Auction
in Ft. Collins, Colorado for the past seven years.
