Artists Statement

An artist's work is a visual language about everyday life and the beauty found in it.  How the viewer feels when seeing my work is the real test of whether I have said something of value.  My hope and prayer is that I have.

I began painting approximately 20 years ago and since have been fortunate to study via workshops and classes with some of the best painters in the country. Kevin MacPherson, Charles Sovek, Tom Browning, Quang Ho, Scott Burdick, and Daniel Gerhartz.  My work has been influenced by the timeless work of John Singer Sargeant, John William Waterhouse, and Richard Schmid.

I am a signature member of American Women Artists Association, Outdoor Painter’s Society, and Alla Prima International.  I have exhibited nationally in various juried competitions and shows.  Current work may be seen online at my website and with the galleries that represent me:

Jack Meier Gallery, Houston, and Englishman’s, Dallas, Texas.

My work has been featured in several fine art publications such as International Artist, American Art Collector, Southwest Art, Galleries and Artists of the South.

I am very proud to be a part of the Richard Schmid Fine Art Auction benefitting the Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department.  For more information about me and my work, please visit www.judycrowe.com.  Please feel free to contact me at any time through my website.
