This discipline challenges my soul. I love the uncritical observation of relationships and the play of light and color on form. I love settling into these moments of seeing, the expansiveness when loving attention takes over and the challenge of translating what I see onto canvas, or other medium. I’ve been blessed with remarkable drawing and painting mentors, workshops and friends: David Leffel, Sherrie McGraw, Lu Haskew, Mark Silvers, Ellie Weakly, Cathy Goodale, Jan Kunz, Susan Blackwood.
