Marina Movshina grew up in the Saint Louis, MO area. She loves painting plein air in the Indian Creek area near St. Clair, MO. Carnegie-Mellon University School of Fine Art awarded her a B.F.A. in Graphic Design. She has studied at the Arts Students' League, New York City.
Marina was thrilled to be included in the 2008 American Artist Professional League Show at the Salmagundi Club, New York City. In 2005, Carnegie-Mellon University's College of Fine Art selected one of Marina's illustrations for the Centennial Exhibition honoring the 100th anniversary of the founding of the college. Other awards include: 2004 The Jessie Beard Rickly Memorial Prize for Oil Landscape, 2003 Alma Carson Memorial Prize for Watercolor.
She illustrates children’s books for Guardian Angel Publishing. Several titles are available on Amazon.com.
